A 29-year-old man has been charged with assaulting a lollipop man outside a South Croydon primary school.

Nikki Walker, a fencer, is due to appear at Croydon Magistrate's Court this morning charged with grevious bodily harm with intent.

Wiktor Molleskog was viciously attacked in front of pupils and parents outside Greenvale Primary School in Sandpiper Road on Friday, October 5.

The 65-year-old lollipop man was left with serious head injuries, after being beaten with his own stick, and was transferred from Mayday Hospital to St George's Hospital in Tooting for further treatment.
