When three-year-old Orri Wiles was diagnosed with a brain tumour, his mum couldn't believe it.
Vice-principal at St Mark's Academy in Mitcham, Debbie Wiles decided to do something for her "brave knight."
That something was raise money for Brain Tumour Charity by running the Wimbledon 10k race.
But she wasn't alone.
Colleagues from St Mark's took it upon themselves to join in the cause.
Principal Lisa Peterkin, along with Olivia Page first took on the Thames bridge trek, raising nearly £1000.
A charity clothes swap followed, along with Debbie’s own training for her gruelling run raised another £2000.
Finally it was senior vice principal Hannah Fahey's turn.
She is taking on the Hever Castle triathlon this weekend and has so far raised more than £600.
So what did Debbie think about all of this? Well it is fair to say she was overjoyed.
“I’m so touched that my colleagues are supporting us and this amazing charity.”
