Two armed moped thugs are at large after a man had a noxious liquid thrown at him in Hither Green.

Police were called to Ennersdale Road on Monday (August 20) at 5pm to reports of an assault.

Two male suspects may have been armed with a knife, according to police who attended along with the London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade.

A man in his 40s was the victim of the attack and was treated at the scene.

He has not suffered any lasting injuries and the substance is still being assessed, but is not believed to be corrosive.
