A football club unveiled a newly refurbished pavilion.

The new facilities is thanks to a £146,592 grant from the Premier League and the Football Stadia Improvement Fund.

Wingate and Finchley FC opened the pavilion at its Maurice Rebak Stadium in Summers Lane, Finchley, yesterday.

The grant enabled the football club, who play at Step 3 in the Isthmian League Premier Division, to carry out improvement works to the home and away changing rooms, officials’ changing rooms and bar areas at the stadium.

The project was undertaken to ensure that the club is compliant with the current Equality Act of 2010.

This means the club had to make adjustments to help ensure disabled fans can still enjoy the football.

Part of the improvements to the bar and hospitality area also included the removal of asbestos.
