A man and a woman were led to safety at Crayford railway station earlier after reports suggested two people tried to jump in front of a train.

British Transport Police were called to the platform at 3.17pm today (August 17) over concerns for the pair's welfare.

A spokesman added: "Colleagues from the London Ambulance Service also attended, a man and a woman were both removed from harm and were taken to a place of safety. There are no reported injuries."
