A WOMAN from Hanwell is undertaking a One Million Step Challenge for Diabetes UK.
The event runs until September 30 as people are invited to leave their comfort zone by taking a million steps over three months and being sponsored for every stride.
It will take Maureen McGinn at least 10,000 steps a day (four miles) to reach her million steps goal.
Project manager Maureen, 54, is taking on the walking challenge because she was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when she was 25.

She also has asthma and was also recently diagnosed with heart disease, so she wants to get fitter.
Maureen said: “I want to get back to regular, significant exercise and learn how to balance that with my insulin regime.”
