Twelve people have been charged with drug offences after raids in New Cross.

Police conducted the dawn raids on Wednesday (August 8) to disrupt a violent drug-dealing network.

Large amounts of Class A drugs and a handgun were seized during the operation.

At one house in New Cross an occupant threw suspected Class A drugs out of the window, before the package was subsequently caught by an officer.

Below is a list of the people charged:

Jago Sharpe, 20, of Lausanne Road, charged with supplying crack cocaine.

Jamari Richardson, 20, of Reaston Street, charged with supplying crack cocaine, possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply and possession of cannabis.

Jabari Richardson, 20, of Reaston Street, charged with supplying crack cocaine, possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply and possessing Class B drugs with intent to supply.

Alston Bayley, 57, of Besson Street, charged with supplying crack cocaine, possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply and possessing Class B drugs with intent to supply.

Fabio Ortuno, 20, of Endwell Road, charged with supplying crack cocaine and heroin.

Abdullahi Mohammed, 18, of Billington Road, charged with supplying crack cocaine and heroin.

Jourdan Carew, 21, of Lanchester Way, charged with supplying crack cocaine and heroin, and possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply.

Michael Lebbie, 21, of Launcelot Crescent, charged with supplying crack cocaine and heroin, and possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply.

Mohammed Abukar, 24, of Dennetts Road, charged with supplying crack cocaine and heroin.

Carter Fofanah, 23, of Erlanger Road, charged with supplying crack cocaine and heroin, and possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply.

Darnell Palmer, 21, of Lanchester Way, charged with supplying cannabis and being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine.

Denise Wright, 48, of Dennetts Road, SE14, charged with possessing crack cocaine and heroin.

All are due to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court.

Two other people who were arrested have been released under investigation.
