A driver and a passenger have been taken to hospital after a crash between a truck and a car in Lewisham.

Emergency services called to reports of a road traffic collision in Perry Vale at around 4am today (August 5).

A Met Police spokesman said: “The driver and passenger in the car were taken to hospital for treatment.

“Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

“There have been no arrests, road closures remain in place.”

Traffic is flowing well following the crash according to Transport for London (TfL).

However, Lewisham Police urged motorists to avoid the South Circular Road earlier this morning.
