A moped passenger is critically ill in hospital after an alleged hit and run.
Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at around 11.30pm yesterday with reports of a man injured in Greens Lane near Manor House tube station, when a car collided with a scooter and failed to stop.
The man, aged 20, who was a passenger on the moped, has been admitted to hospital where he remains in a critical condition. His family have been informed.
The man riding the scooter was also taken to hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. He has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
It is understood the moped was involved in a collision with a car at the junction of Woodberry Grove.
The driver of the car is believed to have stopped initially before driving away.
