Fitness lovers and their furry pets took to the 15th floor of a Lewisham terrace to enjoy some dog yoga recently.

Doga was created by Mahny Djahanguiri who led the class accompanied by her dog Robbie on Thursday (July 26) evening.

The yoga session took place on the 15th floor of Fizzy Lewisham on Station Road – a pet friendly rental housing development.

Mahny said: “Doga is a yoga practice that helps support the natural bond we have with our dog.

“You don’t need to be good at doga or even good at yoga. There’s no such thing as perfection, anything goes. Most of all, doga is fun.”

Sophie Lau, Fizzy’s head of sales and marketing, said the event was to celebrate the positive role of animals.

She added: “Finding somewhere to rent with a pet can be tough and we hope that by hosting this event, other landlords will follow in our footsteps by allowing lets to responsible pet owners.

“The evening was enormous fun – I never thought I would be doing tree poses from our roof terrace with my dog Milo”.

According to a survey by The Dogs Trust, 78 per cent of pet owners struggle to find accommodation which permits pets.
