Two thugs from Belvedere and Erith who chased a man from outside a Crayford pub and beat him up in a "disgraceful and brutal attack" have had their jail terms extended.

Jack Siksnys, 23, of Ruskin Road, Belvedere, and Greg Wenham, 36, of Brook Street, Erith, were jailed for GBH in May.

Police investigating the attack said the pair had chased their 25-year-old victim down the street to his house before tackling him to the floor and attacking him.

After being repeatedly kicked in the head and genitals, the unconscious victim was then dragged into the street where the attack continued.

The victim suffered facial fractures as a result of the attack and now has to have permanent metal implants. He is also said to be suffering emotionally.

Now, both attackers will face more jail time after the solicitor general, Robert Buckland, referred their sentences to the Court of Appeal for being "too low".

Wenham, who was originally jailed for three years and nine months will now serve six years.

Siksnys has had his term extended by one year to five-and-a-half years.

After the hearing, the solicitor general said: “Wenham and Siksnys carried out a sustained attack against their victim, failing to stop either when called out by witnesses or when their victim fell unconscious.

"I am pleased that the Court of Appeal has today agreed with my referral, and hope this brings some comfort to the victim.”
