Residents are being asked to have their say on plans for a new café facility near Richmond Park.

The site in Buccleuch Gardens is currently a disused toilet block. The existing building would be changed to include a café, toilet facilities and a terraced seating area at the front of the building.

The new facilities would be funded from money paid by the developer of the Star and Garter under the legal agreement. This was a prerequisite for planning permission.

Cllr Martin Elengorn, Cabinet Member for Environment, Planning and Sustainability said: “The Council secured financial contributions in the legal agreement which was a prerequisite to granting planning permission for the redevelopment of the Star and Garter.

“If you feel this project is a worthwhile use of part of this funding and would like to have a say on these plans please do so before the deadline.”

Have your say by visiting Richmond Councils website or if you would like to be sent a paper copy please email consultation@richmond.gov.uk. The consultation closes on 13 August 2018.
