The head teacher of a St Mary Cray school has warned parents that a child was approached by men in a van.

The child was reportedly approached in the Crofton area of Orpington yesterday (July 10).

Adam Lowing, head teacher of St Mary Cray Primary School, said in a letter to parents this morning: “The school has been made aware that a child was approached by men in a grey van yesterday when exiting a school event in the Crofton area.

“The police have been informed.”
