An investigation is under way after a builder's yard in Bromley caught fire early this morning.

A one-storey workshop was damaged by the fire in Gravel Road.

London Fire Brigade sent 21 firefighters to the scene at 3.45am and had the fire under control by 6.23am.

"One caravan and an outbuilding were destroyed by fire," a spokesman for the fire brigade said.

"A 15kg propane cylinder, a 5kg propane cylinder and a 5kg oxygen cylinder were cooled to an ambient temperature.

"The cause of the fire is under investigation."

Firefighters from Orpington, Biggin Hill and Addington stations attended the blaze.
