The husband of a woman whose body was found at an address in a block of flats in Bromley has been charged with murder.
Martin Cavanagh, 34, handed himself into police after an appeal was issued to find him following the discovery of his wife, Sophie's body.
Sophie's body was found at Dryden House on Chatterton Road on May 20. Her death was treated as 'unexplained'.
A few days later, police issued an appeal to locate Cavanagh after launching a murder investigation.
Police have revealed that a post-mortem examination determined Sophie's provisional cause of death as "compression to the neck."
Cavanagh appeared in Bromley Magistrates’ Court (Monday) charged with his wife's murder.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at The Old Bailey on Wednesday, May 30.
