A motorcyclist has been injured after he was involved in a crash near Lee High Road this evening.

Police were called to reports of the accident at 6.30pm on May 24.

The London Ambulance Service also attended to the scene.

A Met Police spokesman said the force is currently awaiting an update on his condition.

No other injuries have been reported at this stage and there are no further details on the driver of the car.

Lee High Road has now reopened following the accident earlier this evening.

A London Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We sent two ambulance crews to the scene and there was one patient, reported to have been a man who was fully conscious and suffering from leg and back pain.

"He was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital."
