Armed police arrived to a home in Erith after being called to reports of shots fired.

However, when they arrived to Alford Road they quickly learned that the disturbing noise was from an air gun.

A police spokesman added: "We were called to reports of shots fired. Officers attended the location and established that an air gun was being used in a garden.

"Nobody was arrested and no weapons were seized."

But rest assured - it was just one big noisy false alarm.
