A cyclist has died after they were hit by a lorry outside the National Maritime Museum.

Police and London Ambulance rushed to Romney Road in Greenwich shortly after 4.30pm on May 9 to reports of a a traffic accident.

Air Ambulance was called as well and the cyclist was rushed to a south London hospital.

However despite paramedics best efforts, the 46-year-old cyclist died in hospital yesterday (May 11).

Now police are looking for any witnesses who might have information into what exactly happened.

The driver and a passenger in the lorry were also treated but their injuries were not serious..

The driver of the lorry did stop at the scene. He was not arrested and is assisting police with their enquiries.
