Tottenham Hotspur foundation are the latest club to join Leadership Through Sport & Business (LTSB), a scheme to help youngsters from disadvantaged backgrounds establish high-level careers in business and finance.

Caroline Adair, chief executive of LTSB, said: “It’s great to be back with Spurs.

“They were the original football foundation partners of this transformative programme.

“Their commitment to the local community is clear in their support of our work.”

The partnership was announced at THF's brand new headquarters, Percy House, an 18th century building renovated with funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund as part its brand new stadium redevelopment.

The two-year scheme includes four months of pre-apprenticeship training to prepare 16 to 24 year-olds for professional environments.

The programme is recruiting people aged 16 to 21, who have at least five GCSEs at C and above, with minimum B in Maths and English.

Sarah Ebanja, chief executive of Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, said: “We are committed to increasing the quality and quantity of apprenticeships for local youngsters in Tottenham.

“This programme is designed to give young people a helping hand and develop them into well-rounded members of their community and dedicated, hardworking employees.”
