Slade Green voters have been urged to double check their polling stations for local elections on May 3 after the council announced some have been moved.

A statement from Bexley Council said some roads in Slade Green will now be casting their votes at the station on the junction of Reddy Road and Alexandra Road, rather than Aveley Close, as originally told.

The council has warned anyone with a polling card citing Aveley Close as their station should go to the new location announced to cast their vote.

Voters affected have been assured by the council they will be issued new polling cards to confirm the change.

Additionally, signs will be put up at the original site of Aveley Close to direct people to the new location.

Bexley Council has issued an apology to residents affected for any inconvenience caused.
