A man who died after a fatal assault in Morden has been named as Aaron Springett.
A man was charged with murder yesterday afternoon, following the assault.
Aaron Springett was discovered seriously injured in London Road in Morden on April 19.
He was involved in a fight with one other man by Paddy Power at approximately 9.55pm.
Sadly, he died in a south London hospital at 11.45pm the following day.
A post-mortem examination revealed the 32-year-old had been killed by a blunt force trauma to the chest.
Police would like to speak with anyone who was in the area at the time and saw the moments leading up to the assault.
Detective Inspector Will White, from the Homicide and Major Crime Command, said: “I would like to speak with anyone who saw what happened to Aaron.
"The assault happened in a busy area in sight of a number of shops and bus stops and I’m certain people were in the area and may have seen or heard what happened.
“Any piece of information, however small, could greatly assist our inquiry. I would also like to hear from anyone who may have filmed the initial altercation on their phones as this footage might be vital.”
