Homes in Otters Close in Orpington have been evacuated after a driver crashed into a house.
The crash damaged a gas main, causing neighbouring houses to be evacuated.
Police were called to Otters Close at 8am this morning and the London Ambulance Service treated a man for shock.
A police spokesman added: "No one else was injured - it is believed that there was no one in the house at the time of the crash.
"Due to damage caused to a gas main, neighbouring properties have been evacuated as a precaution."
No arrests have been made and the London Fire Brigade are in attendance.
One witness told News Shopper the road is closed and emergency services are still at the scene.
