A big fashion brand has moved its head office to South Wimbledon to bring the founders closer to its origins.

Gandys which is travel inspired was set up by two brothers Rob and Paul Forkan from Croydon.

The new offices will be situated on Windsor Avenue.

Rob and Paul had a bohemian upbringing with their parents taking them out of school aged 11 and 13.

They began to travel the world but were caught up in the Boxing Day tsunami of 2004 and tragically lost both of their parents.

They set up Gandys in 2012, designing flip-flops from their bedroom with the hope to one day be able to use the profits to open homes for underprivileged children.

Olivia De Satge, Brand Curator at Gandys said: “Our last office was based in Southfields, but we out-grew it as the brand has just grown so much.

“We wanted to incorporate a warehouse and do our logistics internally and South Wimbledon had the perfect space for us.

“Our founders like to keep things south of the river.”

Gandys is dedicated to support underprivileged children with education, medication and nutrition and have a registered charity.

Rob and Paul have opened a children's home for orphans in 2014 in Sri Lanka and successfully opened their second home in Malawi last year.

Gandys recently opened four new stores, Convent Garden, Clapham, Camden and Richmond.
