Students will design imagery at a housing development site in a new project.

The design project, launched in partnership between Barnet and Southgate College and housing association L&Q, will see students produce designs for display on the barriers around The Rushgroves housing development site.

A group of students visited the construction site to gain inspiration, focusing their designs on why Hendon is a special and positive place to live now, and how it has an exciting future.

The designs are hoped to represent Hendon with regards three key themes: the environment, community and the future.

David Byrne, principal of Barnet and Southgate College, said: “Work experience is integral to the majority of courses at Barnet and Southgate College, our art and design students are really excited to be involved in this project with L&Q and to be given the opportunity to put their skills into practice for the whole community to see.”

The designs will be revealed later this month in Rookery Way in Hendon.
