A Merton police officer has been cleared of using unreasonable force.
PC James Nattrass faced a misconduct hearing accused of using excessive force on a person, by allegedly pushing them and causing them to be lifted from their feet and fall to the ground, in relation to an incident in December 2014.
It was alleged his conduct was in breach of the Met’s standards of professional behaviour.
Having taken all the evidence including CCTV footage into consideration, the panel found the case not proven.
The officer who had been placed on restricted duties during the investigation will now resume full duties.
