THIS week is Student Volunteering Week and Ren Shilcock is hoping to inspire others with her experience working at Dogs West London in Harefield.

Ren, 19, is a student from Capel Manor College, based at the Gunnersbury Park campus.

She said: “I have a big interest in dog behaviour and training, as well as the rehabilitation of dogs.

“I wanted to give my time to help out an amazing cause and to broaden my knowledge of Dogs Trust.

I’m currently studying Level 3 Animal Management and would love to work within the areas of canine behaviour and rehabilitation as this is where my passion really lies.

“I’m still open as to whether I do this privately or for a charity as wonderful as Dogs Trust.

A typical day at Dogs Trust involves lots of kennel cleaning, feeding, dog walks and then of course, lots of canine cuddles!

The work is so rewarding and you’ll have so much fun you won’t regret it.”

If you’re interested in volunteering at Dogs Trust West London in Harefield, you will need to be over 18 years old and can find out more here or contact Lucia.Ruggiero@dogstrust.co.uk
