A 30-year-old man is in critical condition in hospital after being found with head injuries in Greenwich.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at approximately 2.15am on Saturday, February 17, to reports of an injured man on Greenwich High Road, SE10.
“Officers and London's Air Ambulance attended. The 30-year-old man, who had sustained head injuries, was taken to a south London hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
“There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.”
The incident happened between Norman Road and Greenwich South Street.
Greenwich road eastbound is now re-open near to the railway station following the police incident.
The road opened Westbound on Saturday evening.
