IT'S rubbish this, isn't it? Ham acting, dodgy space effects and shoddy costumes... but therein lies the beauty.
Retro appeal is a strange thing. If you were a fan as a child, then quality control clearly goes out the window. Knight Rider, The Dukes of Hazzard, The A Team: all complete dross, but all completely brilliant too.
Here, Starbuck and Apollo get picked up by the long-lost Battlestar Pegusus, captained by Commander Cain (an aptly cast Lloyd Bridges) who wants to smash the Cylons seven ways from Thursday and damn the consequences.
It's a good storyline as far as old Galactica goes. Shame about all the repeating footage.
