The areas of Croydon where criminal damage and arson is most prevalent have been revealed.

The latest figures recorded by the Metropolitan Police show that 254 incidents of criminal damage and arson were reported in Croydon for the month of November.

The statistics are broken down into 14 categories, ranging from burglary, to possession of weapons, to anti-social behaviour.

For the 27 different policing boroughs there is a clear difference at the top of the charts.

Selhurst had the most reported crimes in this particular category with 21, while Coulsdon East had the lowest, with just 3.

Raw numbers can deceiving though, as Selhurst only barely cracks the top five when broken down into percentage.

Criminal damage and arson in Fieldway accounted for 26.3% of its total reported crimes, ranking at the top of the list, while Croydon Town Centre was the lowest on the list, with just 3.9%.
