A Wimbledon children's dental medical charity's community partnership manager for a will be taking on a challenge to help more than 150 youngsters have surgery.

Chris Williams, who works for Operation Smile UK in The Broadway will go 100km from London to Brighton 100km in May in a bid to raise £2,000 to sponsor an operating table for an entire medical mission helping more than 150 patients have surgery.

Operation Smile, provides free, safe and effective surgery to those born with cleft lip and cleft palate conditions in more than 80 countries around the world.

Chris, who was also born with the condition, wants to further help people most in need.

He recently came back from a medical mission in Malawi with over volunteers to bring safe, effective and timely surgical care to adults and children with untreated cleft lip and cleft palate conditions.

The London 2 Brighton Challenge, over the May Bank Holiday will see fearless competitors walk, jog or run an 100km from Capital to Coast, setting out from Richmond on Thames over the North Down and South Downs, through Sussex all the way to Brighton.
