We thought we would take a look at what you can get for your money in Dartford and Bexley, if you happen to have a spare £1 million lying around.
These are some of the swankiest, most expensive houses on the market right now.
1. North Cray Road, Bexley
This magnificent house is believed to have been built in 1740 on part of the Mount Mascal Estate, which stretched from Wollet Hall along the River Cray, almost reaching Bexley Village.
The hefty sum of £3.5million could buy you five acres of grounds, seven bedrooms and a two-bedroom chalet in the garden.
Because the house used to be used as a wedding venue, there are some stunning pictures taken by estate agent JDM here.
2. Birchwood Road, Wilmington
This four-bedroom house in Wilmington would set you back £1.4million.
For that, you would get views onto open farmland at the front, and a 250ft garden at the back.
Images of the house’s huge rooms and home gym, which are being sold by Village Estates, can be viewed here.
3. Knoll Road, Bexley Village
Right in the heart of Bexley Village, this four-bedroom house is on the market with Village Estates for £1.1million.
The house is full of character, and has retained some of its period features.

4. Station Road, Eynsford
This house was designed and built by the owners in 2000, and is on the market with Ward and Partners for £1.05million.
It has a large forecourt and beautiful countryside views, despite being a short walk from Eynsford train station – useful for commuters.
More pictures are available here.
5. Wansunt Road, Bexley
Behind a somewhat modest exterior, this house has a sweeping, stylish open-plan layout inside.
The current owners have undertaken massive redevelopment, and are now selling with Robinson Jackson for £1 million.
More pictures of their impressive work can be viewed here.
6. Common Lane, Wilmington
This five-bedroom house is in the heart of Wilmington – perfect for those looking for their children to go to the good local schools.
On the market with Robinson Jackson, the house would cost you £1million.
For that you would get an outdoor pool, spacious rooms and a limestone entrance hall with underfloor heating.
