HAVING overseen large chunks of Tracey Thorn's recent outing, to say nothing of remixing Gwen Stefani, Franz Ferdinand, Pet Shop Boys and the Chems, Mr Pearson has returned to continue his adventures at the cutting edge of dance.

This tidy mix album sees him plundering genres, ripping beats and crossing boundaries with abandon. It's all underpinned by some low-rise bass and a dense, skeletal, almost acid feel. It all comes to a head with Aril Brikha's neo-emo house cut Berghain, but getting there is such a blast. The warm embrace of Jahcoozi's Ali McBills kicks it off before giving way to Marcashken's passion puller, Nimrod. It gets dark in places, but never predictable - be warned: Trustlove from 100HZ is a sonic siren desperate to lure you onto the rocks of treachery.
