Budding actors and actresses from a performing arts school were given a taste of the big time when they got the chance to appear on London’s West End.

Students from Stagecoach Performing Arts Harrow trod the boards at Shaftesbury Theatre, which currently plays host to ‘Motown the Musical’.

They produced stunning renditions of songs from ‘Chicago’, including the lively numbers ‘Razzle Dazzle’ and ‘We Both Reached For The Gun’.

Emmy Hamilton, principal of Stagecoach Performing Arts Harrow, said: “For the children to be able to perform at Shaftesbury Theatre is a dream come true, whether they dream of being West End stars or they sing, dance, and act for fun.

“Performances like this are a huge confidence booster and there is a great sense of camaraderie amongst the pupils.”

The occasion was part of a Stagecoach ‘West End Live’ Showcase, giving students from across the country the chance to experience the thrill of performing in one of London’s most iconic theatres.

Students from the Harrow branch were joined by those from 16 other schools across the country where, collectively, they turned in wonderful performances for the audience.
