A charity that promotes the wellbeing of the elderly has been announced as the council's lead partner for the older people's strand of the Sutton Plan.
This was announced at Age UK Sutton's annual review on Friday, December 8, where the CEO, Nicola Upton, discussed the development of the charity's new five-year plan.
Guest speaker, councillor Ruth Dombey, said: "People are living longer and the support they need is becoming more complex. We want to develop this part of the Sutton Plan more fully, to ensure that all older people's needs are met, their ideas are listened to and their voices are heard."
