An MP visited a civil engineering company to discuss their community projects and work.
Oliver Dowden, Hertsmere MP, was invited to visit the Potters Bar headquarters of the JSM Group, a civil engineering company employing more than 150 in its HQ who are from the surrounding area, by its MD Stuart Wiltshire.
Oliver Dowden MP said: "I was grateful to be invited by Mr Wiltshire to learn about JSM Group and the important work they do ensuring our utility companies can provide new services and repairs to existing ones across London and the surrounding areas.
"I discovered much about the company, its work and employees; it was interesting to learn how much the JSM Group invests in training its workforce to ensure that street projects are conducted seamlessly, safely and effectively to allow the smooth running of the city and its environs while essential work is carried out.
"I was also impressed to hear about JSM’s community projects; the company donates much time, effort and resources in helping both children and adults in need."
The company recently held a food bank and has raised funds for charities including Teenage Cancer Trust and Great Ormond Street Hospital.
