The second phase of a regeneration scheme has launched.

399, the latest development in Colindale, has launched its second phase which will see the building of 183 homes on the site of the former Oriental City shopping centre.

The development, from U+I and funded by L&Q, will see the area undergo a £150million regeneration and the opening of public spaces, 50,000 sq ft of retail space and the new Bang Bang Oriental food hall, the latter of which opened its doors earlier this year.

Esther Galloway, residential portfolio manager, U+I Plc said “Our vision for 399 has always been to build a thriving, neighbourhood with community at its heart.

"The area has a strong cultural heritage and we wanted to build on that by creating an environment that brings the community together whilst also providing much needed homes.

"The addition of the residential offering completes our transformation of this renowned site that will see it become one of the most exciting areas to live in London."
