Police dogs had to be taken to the vets and an officer to hospital after a police van crashed into a wall in Eltham.
The police dogs van crashed into the wall along Bexley Road near the University of Greenwich.
Witnesses reported seeing the police officer get out of the car to check on the dogs in the back, before collapsing themselves.
Anna Dorey wrote on Facebook: "Apparently the lady officer driving crashed the car and then when she got out of the car to check on the dogs she collapsed and hit her head."
Met Police said the officer was taken to hospital and the dogs were taken to a vet for check up but none of their injuries are being treated as serious.
The road has been closed and traffic diversions are in place.
