Police have released CCTV footage in an attempt to catch two people who allegedly robbed an elderly woman in a supermarket car park.
The woman was shopping at Waitrose in Station Avenue, Caterham, on November 7 when police say two men approached her in the carpark.
"It seems as though one man distracted her by saying there was something wrong with her tyres," a police spokeswoman said.
"While this was going on, a second man took the debit card from the woman's handbag.
"The woman went home, not realising the debit card was missing," the police spokeswoman said.
"She then rushed back to the store after she couldn't find her card."
Officers believe the man who stole the card was in the store at the same time as the victim and watched her at the checkout so he could steal her PIN number.
Tandridge Beat Police shared the video and wrote on Facebook, stating: "We would like to speak to the man in this CCTV clip who enters the frame from the bottom left of the screen.
"If you think you recognise him please contact us quoting Surrey Police reference 45170123917 (VS)."
No arrests have been made.
