Barnet have sacked Rossi Eames as head coach - but retained the 32-year-old as head of player development - with former Scotland assistant Mark McGhee named as his successor.
McGhee is quite a coup for the North London side, as he has significant managerial in the Scottish Premier League and Championship, as well as being second in command with Scotland from 2015 until the end of the World Cup 2018 qualifying period.
However, his recent record makes for grim reading; as boss of Motherwell, a bright start faded leaving the club three points above the Scottish Premiership relegation zone.
The 60-year-old's previous two roles, with Bristol Rovers and Aberdeen, also ended on a sour note, and he picked up a win rate of less than 30 per cent with both clubs.
Notably, McGhee's title with Barnet will be first team manager, a departure from the head coach role which they have used for recent appointments.
Eames will head up the club's player progression programme, bringing players through from academy level to the Under-23 team.
Alex Armstrong, who he brought to the club as asssistant head coach in the summer, will remain in his original role.
