NOT a lot happens in the sleepy, one-moose town of Cicely, Alaska, so dream sequences and fantasy loom large in this series, including a whole drug-induced episode when Joel accidentally knocks back some Indian herbs!
But despite my initial irritation, the quirky charm of the characters wins through. DJ Chris is at his philosophical best, but finds himself upstaged by a ventriloquist's dummy, while Ed is upstaged by a tiny bear cub.
Monsyllabic Marilyn gets to talk in whole sentences and love is in the air, with even a couple of marriage proposals!
The humour is of the wry-smile rather than laugh-out-loud variety, but by the closing episode I found myself wanting to punch the air and shout out: "Alright!"
