Plans to axe the Lewisham West and Penge constituency have been released by the Boundary Commission.

Lewisham West and Penge, which is held by Ellie Reeves, would be absorbed into three other constituencies, including Tory held Beckenham.

Newly created Dulwich and Sydenham and Lewisham and Catford, would also take a piece each of Lewisham West and Penge.

The Boundary Commission is changing constituencies as part of the 2018 Boundary Review.

They published proposals on October 17, setting out new constituencies all over London.

There is still time to have your say on the changes, but all comments must be in by December 11, this year.

Comments can be left on the Boundary Commission’s website: https://www.bce2018.org.uk/node/6485.

The 2018 Boundary Review will try and reduce the number of constituencies in the UK from 650 to 600.

This means there will be 501 constituencies in England down from 533.

The number of constituencies in London will be reduced from 73 to 68.
