It happened in the early hours of this morning
A man is in a critical condition after a stabbing near a police station in Plumstead.
The 29-year-old victim was stabbed in his chest on the forecourt of the Esso petrol garage in Plumstead High Street.
Police said a 52-year-old man has been arrested.
The victim is in a critical but stable condition after the stabbing at about 3.25am this morning, October 12.
A employee at the Esso garage said: "We are open now but police had cordoned us off. I had to wash away quite a lot of blood. They were here all morning."
Police are appealing for witnesses.
