Plans have been submitted to build a three-storey building with nine flats on Langley Park Road in Sutton.

Seven two bedroom flats and two three bedroom flats are outlined in the proposal to Sutton Council.

The location for the development is 81-83 Langley Park Road.

An existing house and bungalow would be demolished if planning is accepted.

A prior application to construct the residential building was already rejected this year.

However, advised amendments in the new application include a reduction in width and bulk of the building and avoiding impact with trees.

A planning application statement read: “We believe that the site has an opportunity, consistent with government advice, to provide nine flats in keeping with the form of the surrounding area and responding to previous concerns.

“In developing the site in high-quality manner, we can introduce benefits to the locality through a development appropriately designed and perpetuating the form of the locality.”
