Police have charged a pair of football fans for allegedly throwing and possessing a smoke grenade at a Gillingham home game against Charlton.
Charles Priston, 24, of Bladindon Drive in Bexley, was arrested on suspicion of possessing a smoke grenade after he was searched.
He has been charged and bailed to appear at Medway Magistrates' Court on October 3.
Brogue Stevens, 20, of Cobham Chase in Faversham was arrested on suspicion of throwing a smoke grenade and possessing an offensive weapon.
He has since been charged with both offences and bailed to appear at Medway Magistrates' Court on October 10.
Two 20-year-old men, one from Swanley and the other from Thamesmead, were also arrested on suspicion of assault.
Both have been released pending further enquiries.
