A famous Wimbledon hospital converted into luxury apartments has opened its doors to prospective buyers.
Starting at just over £1 million, flats in Wellington Row include landscaped gardens, underground parking, a residents’ gym, library, private cinema, a concierge and even a boardroom.
Atkinson Morley Hospital was once recognised as one of the most advanced brain surgery centres in the world.
In 1979, Godfrey Hounsfield won the Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine for performing the first CT scan on a human being in the hospital, successfully scanning a brain tumour.
Homes are also still available at Duke's Gardens, another phase of the development on the Wimbledon Hill Park estate, which was the ancestral residence of the second Duke of Wellington.
