A group of men allegedly tried to “snatch” a woman who was walking to work, according to her father.
Dave Biggs, 64, said his daughter was walking to work last Friday (September 8) in Bexleyheath Broadway.
Mr Biggs, who lives in Bexley, said she was near Christ Church in the Broadway when three men in a car slowed down near her.
He said: “She is 34. She was just walking to work when a silver car slowed down right by the road. Three geezers started talking at her.
“They got out the car and ran. They tried to snatch her.
“She’s a clever girl, so she just ran away.
“She’s fine now, but she was a bit shaken up at the time. I’m hoping it got caught on CCTV, but the police were called as well. It happened at about 9.50am.”
The Met Police confirmed they were called to reports of three men acting suspiciously but said no crimes were reported.
A spokesman for the Met said: “Officers attended and spoke with a woman who said that she was approached by three men in a silver car who engaged her in conversation.
“The woman became concerned when the two passengers got out of the car so she ran to a nearby address.”
