A parade of barges will be passing along the riverside at Deptford and Greenwich this weekend, September 16.
The community history volunteer project Deptford Working Histories will be aboard the Heritage Thames Sailing Barge Parade as part of the Totally Thames Festival 2017.
The parade of cargo vessels with their ochre sails will pass river frontage of Greenwich, Lewisham and Southwark.
Starting from West India Dock estimated to pass Deptford Strand around 11am and pass Deptford and Greenwich on the return trip around 1.30pm.
Deptford Working Histories hopes to attract more backers to extend community activities in Greenwich and Lewisham around the theme of Deptford?s Working River over the coming months.
