The music festival extravaganza that is OnBlackheath is starting next weekend from September 9-10.

The headline act for the festival are the band Travis, who will be performing songs from their album The Man Who is a UK festival exclusive.

Alongside Travis performing at OnBlackheath include indie rockers The Libertines, American blues ace Seasick Steve, electronic floor filler Metronomy, and hip hop trio De La Soul.

Other highlight musical acts include Kate Tempest, KT Tunstall, Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Jake Bugg and Steve Mason.

Foodies will find plenty to eat and see between acts as well with Masterchef finalists and winners amongst the guests performing their classic dishes for a hungry audience.

Masterchef finalist Tony Rodd and winner of MasterChef: The Professionals last year Gary Maclean are amongst the famous guests for the food part of the festival.

The John Lewis Food Village will also be home to award-winning street food, pop-up restaurants and the local Meantime Craft Brewery Bar for visitors to tuck into.

There will be also be activities for families and children, including Children’s Laureate novelist, poet and author of the enduring classic We’re Going on a Bear Hunt, Michael Wayne Rosen.

Comedian and writer Julian Clary will also be there, reading excerpts from his best-selling children’s book series “The Bolds”.

They will be joining the festival’s classic Village Green Sports Day with egg and spoon races, three-legged races and tug-of-war, along with all sorts of other workshops and adventures for children.

Day tickets are priced at £49.50 with weekend tickets selling at £90 plus booking fees. Tickets can be purchased in person at Blackheath Concert Hall or online via SeeTickets.com, Ticketmaster.co.uk, Songkick.com, Gigantic.com, Stargreen.com, AXS.com and Twickets.live

Entry is free for children under 5 and there will be a limited number of tickets available for children aged 5-12 for £10 per day or £15 for the whole weekend. Teen tickets are also limited and are priced at £30 per day and £55 for the weekend.

Hospitality tickets are offered for the first time this year, costing £100 a day or £175 for the weekend. Hospitality tickets include access to the guest area, a guest festival laminate, drinks tokens and a dedicated guest entrance.
