It’s International Cat Day Battersea Dogs and Cats Home wants to celebrate by finding homes for their feline residents.

Here are some cats currently on the prowl for a new home:

Jasper

According to the BDCH: “Jasper is a loveable five-year-old black and white Domestic Short-hair who has been at Battersea for 93 days.

“He found cattery life too stressful so is currently finding comfort with a foster carer where he is thriving and even showing off his true cat qualities.

“Jasper came into the Home because his previous owner was no longer able to look after him.

“Timid Jasper loves human company and prefers the quiet life where he can snuggle up to his favourite people. A garden is preferable so he can still have a bit of a play close by.

“This is a cat who has a lot of love to give to a fellow soulmate.”

Sheba

“This beautiful big-eyed British Short-hair is four-years-old and on the lookout for her perfect match.

“This chocolate point princess has been at Battersea for 54 days and shouldn’t be judged on her pretty looks alone.

“She’s an independent woman and looking for people in a quiet home who will accept her for who she is.

“She can be a cheeky little madam but an understanding household will be rewarded with her eternal love. A garden will be necessary so she can be at one with herself.”

Pookey

“Older lady Pookey is 12 years-old but still loves to play.

“Pookey was brought into Battersea due to her owner’s change in circumstances and has since been at Battersea for 75 days.

“Black and white Pookey is a sweet natured but can be worried by lots of noise so would prefer to live in a quiet household where she has the freedom to go in and out as she pleases.

“Once she trusts you, her owners will be rewarded with her unconditional love.”

Suki

“Six-year-old Suki is an intelligent snow spotted Bengal looking for a large home where she can explore and be the huntress she was born to be.

“Cross-eyed Suki is a stunner and needs lots of enrichment and space so she can keep busy and have lots of fun.

“People who understand that Bengals are their own independent cats are a must for Suki, but once there’s a mutual understanding, Suki will be your friend for life.”
