Like many, I have loved Streisand for years, and really fancied going to one of her UK concerts this week. But not at £500 a ticket.
So like Jim Bowen, showing prizes to failed contestants on Bullseye, this deluxe double disc indicates what you could have won/seen.
As always, Barbara's album is beautifully packaged, its stylish arty photographs making the perfect coffee- table accompaniment.
And as always, we are treated to the greatest hits. So there are updates of The Way We Were, What Are You Doing The Rest Of Your Life and Evergreen, featuring the vocal talents of Il Divo. Ms Streisand adds to proceedings with her own witty dialogue and illuminating stories.
This is a lovely CD... and a taster of what could have been.
